This book struck home in all the best ways! Last Night Was Fun was the perfect combination of sports, romance, and the delicious tension of accidentally falling for your arch nemesis through a wrong number text. It had me laughing out loud on my couch to the point that my cat left me because I was annoying her. Safe to say, I loved this book and Emmy & Gabe!
I looooved watching the banter between Emmy and Gabe! Their chemistry flowed so clearly through their texts, and when they finally realized it in person it was SO GOOD. That scene is the epitome of kicking my feet and squealing. As is literally every interaction of theirs at Emmy’s sister Piper’s wedding weekend. I fully believed these characters and their dynamic was an absolute delight to experience.
Clearly this book was an absolute hit for me. Baseball pun absolutely intended. I was thoroughly enjoyed myself and Holly Michelle had me seated from the very first line. It was so well done and my infatuation with Gabe is definitely not going anywhere. This may have been my first Holly Michelle book, but it certainly won’t be my last!
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
