ARC Review: Fool Me by Lo Everett

Publication Date: June 23, 2025

This book was SO good!!! The premise of this small town romance x fake dating was just perfection. I loved the immediate dynamic between Atlas and Harlowe, and the tension was palpable from their very first meeting. The book had all the best parts of these tropes, and I could not get enough of these characters.

Atlas as a veterinarian and a total softie was the best. I loved the duality of how he treated the animals & their owners with patience and love, but then was able to stand up for Harlowe in the pivotal moments. And it was lovely to see Harlowe, a baddie who works in emergency rescue, be able to lean on Atlas in the hard moments. They truly are a beautiful pairing.

Fool Me was my first Lo Everett book, but I’m about to go back and binge all her sports books now!! After being introduced to all those characters- but most importantly, Xavier and Vivi- I’m dying to see their love stories play out. And I’m so ready for the rest of the Timberline Peak romances that were set up so nicely in this book!

Thank you to the author and Love Notes PR for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
