I’m so glad I got to read Broken Play, Riley Paige’s debut story! Jaxon and Madison’s second chance, childhood best friends to lovers story was so well done, and I went through the roller coaster of emotions along with the characters. It’s truly a story of perseverance and the power of learning to be in touch with all your emotions- even the hard ones.
This story is the epitome of the he falls first trope. Jaxon’s ability to love Mads from a distance while he waited for her to feel ready was a beautiful example of the power of patience with those you love. Madison is terrified of falling in love, and Jaxon’s patience was so important for their journey together. I really loved it so much!
I’m definitely not ready to leave the PCU universe, so I’m SO excited for Red Zone, Carter and Lyla’s story! We see bits of their interactions throughout Broken Play, and I’m so ready for their story. We love a good QB x coach’s daughter story, so I just know it’s going to be amazing.
Thank you to the author and Chasing Books PR for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
