Best Laid Plans was such a delightfully perfect summer read! From the laugh-out-loud moment when Cam and Elle are reunited through the tender moments with Elle’s entire family, this book had me invested and smiling. The tension while these characters figured their dynamic out was delicious, and it made the spice all the more rewarding.
These characters were both running from something, only to find each other in a time where it was completely unexpected. Elle and Cam find themselves together in a moment where neither is looking for anything, yet they cannot resist. The brother’s best friend trope was HITTING in this book, and it unfurled in an amazing way.
This book was- full pun intended- a chef’s kiss. Mallory McKenna did a brilliant job with this love story & the chemistry was flying off the page. I was absolutely rooting for Cam and Elle and their happy ending, and you will be too once you read it!
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
