I so enjoyed reading Body Check! Amelia and McKittrick’s (I have to call him by his last name, since my brother’s name is also Jason and that just becomes weird real fast) romance was a treat to read. From their spark-filled first meeting to their stolen glances and sneaky moments, the relationship between Amelia and McKittrick was as real as it was steamy.
Something I loved about this book was the normalcy of surrogacy and the decision to be child free as a woman! Amelia chooses to be a surrogate for her brother and his husband, and I loved how understanding McKittrick was about her decisions to do such while simultaneously not wanting to have children of her own. It’s such a great example of how families come in many forms and that we get to choose what works best for us.
The world of Body Check and the Boston Grizzlies is definitely not one I’ll be leaving anytime soon! I’m so ready for the next book, Power Play, featuring our darling Gonzo. One of the best part of these hockey romance series is getting to know all the players and see their stories play out, and I’m so ready for more!
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
