You Make It Feel like Christmas had all the things a good holiday romance needs- sweetness, holiday vibes, an adorable small down, and the cutest of love stories. Nick and Maisie are such a precious couple, and their subtle flirting had me SCREAMING. More than just being a second chance romance, this book is also two people exploring how their different realities actually make them perfect for one another other.
Nick and Maisie are both individuals who are so passionate about their work and respective careers. It could have been something that pulled them apart, but instead, it was something that united them. Seeing them interact with their families was another part of this story that made it so beautiful. It was so homey and wholesome and I just loved it.
Something I loved so much about this book was the mental health representation!!!! The way that Maisie is able to be a safe space for Nick’s anxiety is so meaningful. I also really appreciated how much we see of Nick’s personal struggles. Opening up about anxiety and mental health is so hard, so I’m always really touched by stories like this one that have that side to a character.
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and St. Martin’s Griffin for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
