Winter Nights at the Bay Bookshop has me completely ready for some cozy Christmas vibes!! Their shared love of reading does a beautiful job of bringing them together and I loved seeing their cozy dynamic develop. The romance between Lily and Lars felt akin to sitting by a warm fire, and the setting of the bookstore only added to it.
I loved how both Lily and Lars were romantics to their cores. The time and energy they both spent in effort to find “the one” is truly something special. Holding those romantic beliefs close is one of the most beautiful things in life, and I loved how they both shared that feeling.
Both these characters have strong familial ties, and it’s clear the influence their families have on them. Lars’s grief over the loss of his sister rings true throughout this story, and seeing him grieving openly was so lovely.
