Stolen Moments quickly stole my heart! I loved the first installation of Alexander and Christopher’s story. Christopher’s sass and the banter between them that ensues is delightful. A.B. Jackson’s storytelling is honest, real, and full of heart. It would be impossible to get through this book and NOT be rooting for these characters as well as their love story.
So much of this story revolves around the complexities of Alexander’s sexual identity coming into conflict with his role as a celebrity. My heart completely broke for the moments where he wanted to be with Christopher but didn’t feel safe to be. While this wasn’t a plot point that was resolved in this story- the first in the series- I’m hopeful for better days for Alexander and Christopher and their queer identities in media.
Talk about setting up a sequel- I neeeeeeeeed to read Stolen Hearts ASAP! I was so completely invested in Alexander and Christopher, and there’s no world in which I’m not immediately sat for the sequel. I’m so happy that I got to read Stolen Moments, and if you’re a fan of musician romances, this is a must read! P.s.- there’s also a Spotify playlist with Alexander’s songs on it! 👀
Thank you to Jackal Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
