What an amazing opportunity it was to meet Annabel Monaghan! She came to visit as a part of her tour for Summer Romance– which came out last summer. Annabel’s books are full of warmth, love, and friendship. She writes beautiful romance but there is also so much more to enjoy in her stories!
Annabel has written the three books she is holding in the photo with me above: Nora Goes Off Script, Same Time Next Summer, and Summer Romance. Her latest book, It’s A Love Story, comes out May 27, 2025. I had the pleasure of ARC reading this book as well, and my review will be coming out on publication day… or it’s already up on my Instagram!
Thanks so much to Oxford Exchange Bookstore for hosting the meet and greet! It was such a beautiful and lovely conversation and it was so fun to get to actually chat with Annabel and fellow author Ivy Fairbanks about writing romance and beyond.
Summary for Summer Romance:
Benefits of a summer romance: it’s always fun, always brief, and no one gets their heart broken.
There aren’t enough labeled glass containers to contain the mess that is Ali Morris’s life. Her mom died two years ago, then her husband left, and she hasn’t worn pants with a zipper in longer than she cares to remember. She’s a professional organizer whose pantry is a disgrace.
No one is more surprised than Ali when the first time she takes off her wedding ring and puts on pants with hardware—overalls count, right?—she meets someone. Or rather, her dog claims a man for her in the same way he claimed his favorite of her three children: by peeing on him. Ethan smiles at Ali like her pants are just right—like he likes what he sees. The last thing Ali needs is to make her life messier, but there’s no harm in a little Summer Romance. Is there?

ARC Review: All You Had To Do Was Stay by Laura Starkey
Publication Date: July 14, 2026 Hannah and Jude’s journey back together in All You Had To Do Was Stay was such a great instance of how timing in love truly is everything. The tension between them as a result of their history was so powerful. Seeing their brothers meddling in getting Hannah and Jude in…
ARC Review: Falling into You by Jill Shalvis
Publication Date: July 14, 2026 Hazel and Tucker’s love story in Falling into You was everything I love about a second chance romance story. They have such a rich history while also having such interwoven lives today. I adored every moment of the two of them reconnecting and rediscovering the love that truly always has…
