Author Meet and Greet: Annabel Monaghan

June 9, 2024

What an amazing opportunity it was to meet Annabel Monaghan! She came to visit as a part of her tour for Summer Romance– which came out last summer. Annabel’s books are full of warmth, love, and friendship. She writes beautiful romance but there is also so much more to enjoy in her stories!

Annabel has written the three books she is holding in the photo with me above: Nora Goes Off Script, Same Time Next Summer, and Summer Romance. Her latest book, It’s A Love Story, comes out May 27, 2025. I had the pleasure of ARC reading this book as well, and my review will be coming out on publication day… or it’s already up on my Instagram!

Thanks so much to Oxford Exchange Bookstore for hosting the meet and greet! It was such a beautiful and lovely conversation and it was so fun to get to actually chat with Annabel and fellow author Ivy Fairbanks about writing romance and beyond.

Summary for Summer Romance:

Benefits of a summer romance: it’s always fun, always brief, and no one gets their heart broken.

There aren’t enough labeled glass containers to contain the mess that is Ali Morris’s life. Her mom died two years ago, then her husband left, and she hasn’t worn pants with a zipper in longer than she cares to remember. She’s a professional organizer whose pantry is a disgrace.

No one is more surprised than Ali when the first time she takes off her wedding ring and puts on pants with hardware—overalls count, right?—she meets someone. Or rather, her dog claims a man for her in the same way he claimed his favorite of her three children: by peeing on him. Ethan smiles at Ali like her pants are just right—like he likes what he sees. The last thing Ali needs is to make her life messier, but there’s no harm in a little Summer Romance. Is there?

Allie and Milo come from entirely different worlds but through the funny mishap of swapped phones, eventually discover how much…

ARC Review: I Kissed Her First by Betty Cayouette

Publication Date: August 25, 2026 I was so enamored with the love story between Luna and Riley in I Kissed Her First! Seeing them go from stolen touches and quiet flirtations to realizing their feelings and sharing them with the world was amazing. While I am not a world-famous pop star like Luna or an…

ARC Review: The Jezebel List by Alisa Dean

Publication Date: August 25, 2026 I so enjoyed reading The Jezebel List and going along for the ride of this love story! After Christina and Danny’s meet-cute, it was so clear both why Danny felt so drawn to Christina but also why these characters are so meant to be. We ALL deserve a partner who…
