Tessa Bailey never fails at sports romance, and this book is just another example of this! Pitcher Perfect was hilarious. I loved watching Robbie fall so very hard for Skylar and their dynamic’s development over time was so real. Fake dating hits every time, and this book absolutely nailed that trope. A softball girlie x a hockey boy may be a new favorite combo of mine!
Skylar may be one of the FMCs I related to the most! I laughed out loud at her dynamic with her planner and her determination to literally schedule everything into it. Her desire for order makes perfect sense in the world of her family, and I loved seeing how Robbie was able to fit into this sense of order as well as help her shift to a little bit of chaos.
It’s so fun to me how this book fit into the same timeline as Dream Girl Drama, and it was great seeing the characters from that book as well as The Au Pair Affair pop back up. I’m super excited to eventually read Mailer’s story and to hear how he gets his happily-ever-after too. I’ve loved reading this series and it’s such a treat to ARC these past two books!
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

ARC Review: Enter the Villa by Anna Peele
Publication Date: May 19, 2026 As a longtime Love Island fan, Enter the Villa was fascinating. Hearing from production about the stereotypes of various characters on the show, how the show morphed over time, and how the show became the mega popular force it is today was incredibly interesting. It truly was a look behind…
ARC Review: The Shippers by Katherine Center
Publication Date: May 19, 2026 At this point, I should know that reading a Katherine Center book will destroy me in the best way possible. The Shippers is the epitome of the “it was always you” trope. Jojo and Cooper’s story had me kicking my feet and screaming. I loved every second of their adventure…
