Julie and Nick’s love story was truly one for the books! After meeting them in Fall I Want, I was delighted to see them reunite and develop a friendship and relationship. There’s something about fake dating turned real that just slaps every time, and Lyra Parish absolutely crushed it. Julie and Nick had my heart from the moment of their first encounter, and I am so happy for their happy ending!
This story wasn’t light and easy, mostly due to Julie’s awful ex-boyfriend, Craig. There was so much to love about how Nick took care of Julie through it all, and how he made her feel prioritized and protected by him. Nick may not have thought he was serious boyfriend material, but his journey through The Hookup Situation absolutely proved otherwise.
I will continue to be hooked on Lyra’s romance books and I’m so excited to read The Hockey Situation when it drops in 2026. While Nick was a former hockey boy, we’ve still got Patterson as a current hockey boyfriend, and I know that book is going to be everything you could want and then some.
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.

When your MMC is nicknamed Trouble, there’s no way the story can be anything besides full of banter, sass, and spice. Tristan…
