When I Picture You was the epitome of a popstar romance! I loved seeing Lola and Renee reconnect, as well as seeing the tension between them grow into something tangible. Sasha Laurens did a beautiful job of crafting this love story and delivering on the slow burn & palpable chemistry and tension that we all love so much.
Lola and Renee both are at a crossroads in their respective careers, and I loved how they were able to encourage one another to thrive. It feels like they held a mirror up to one another, and subsequently, were able to really see themselves. For two rather different people at first glance, there was so much in common between them as well as their shared love and affection for each other.
So much of the story between Lola and Renee comes from Lola’s own growth in learning to be comfortable in sharing her truest self in the public eye. There is a lot of reality to the conversations between Lola and Renee, but also between Lola and her manager Gloriana. I was so proud to see Lola becoming more comfortable with her own identity and owning who she truly is for everyone to see.

ARC Review: Enter the Villa by Anna Peele
Publication Date: May 19, 2026 As a longtime Love Island fan, Enter the Villa was fascinating. Hearing from production about the stereotypes of various characters on the show, how the show morphed over time, and how the show became the mega popular force it is today was incredibly interesting. It truly was a look behind…
