Happy birthday to me! Victoria Schade once again has wrecked me with her sports romance Fated Skates– which drops on my birthday! Quinn and Bennett’s journey had my heart from page one. I was so invested in Quinn’s journey to win herself a gold medal at the Olympics, even as the path to get there was never a straight line.
There’s so much subtlety in the romance that develops between Quinn and Bennett. From his ability to quietly stand up for her in front of others to her comfortability around him, these two characters had so much tension and romance that grows over time. I loved seeing them grow in having fun together and laughed alongside them throughout their journey.
I’m so grateful that Fated Skates opened up about the difficult and painful parts of the lives of athletes. Both Quinn and Bennett walk difficult roads in this story, and their backgrounds in their skating careers play huge roles in this. As they each focus on healing, their honesty with each other and the world as a whole was so important and so beautiful.
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

The chemistry between Judah and Ari was delightful, and I appreciated that their journey wasn’t perfect, but it was real. I fully believe in their connection,…
ARC Review: Enter the Villa by Anna Peele
Publication Date: May 19, 2026 As a longtime Love Island fan, Enter the Villa was fascinating. Hearing from production about the stereotypes of various characters on the show, how the show morphed over time, and how the show became the mega popular force it is today was incredibly interesting. It truly was a look behind…
