ARC Review: Dearly Departed by Chip Pons

Publication Date: June 16, 2026

Oh my GOOOOOD I love love LOVE this book! Chip Pons put magic into Dearly Departed that lingers well beyond me turning the last page. Hayden and Levi have my whole heart, and their grumpy-sunshine dynamic is particularly delightful to see.

The magical-realism was woven so well into this book. I’m absolutely obsessed with Hayden’s shadows, and Chip’s affectionate nickname for Hayden- shadow daddy- could not be more accurate. Levi is the embodiment of sunshine, and I loved how their relationship allowed them both to soften and open up.

Levi and Hayden are true opposites in so many ways, but at their cores, they’re just two people who needed to find love amidst the hardships of life. I wanted the happiness they found together to be long lasting. Dearly Departed was the warmest and at times, hottest read, and it was a complete delight to read and enjoy!

Thank you to Putnam and G.P. Putnam’s Sons for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

ARC Review: Tropesick by Lauren Okie

Publication Date: June 16, 2026 This book hit me square in the feels. Tropesick did an incredible job of pairing the beats of the love story between Katie and Tyler alongside the romance book that they have been tasked to write. The flashbacks for their second-chance story came at the perfect times, the revelations surprising…

ARC Review: Stolen Hearts by A.B. Jackson

Publication Date: June 1, 2026 Alexander and Christopher’s relationship continues in full motion in Stolen Hearts! The thing about writing a review for book two of a trilogy is that I absolutely don’t want to spoil anything, but reading Stolen Moments and getting the backstory between these two was amazing. Stolen Hearts is such a…
