ARC Review: The Enemy of My Enemy Is… My Fake Boyfriend? by Jenna Fiore

Publication Date: June 13, 2024

I really enjoyed being an ARC reader for Jenna Fiore’s newest book The Enemy of My Enemy Is… My Fake Boyfriend?. Aria and Ethan have rich chemistry from the onset of the book, and their dual POVs show how they each grow in their feelings for each other as the story moves on. It’s amazing to see how they could use their initial hatred for Aria’s ex-fiancé as a starting point for their connection before it becomes greater than that initial shared dislike.

It’s hard not to love Ethan from the very beginning, even though Aria initially dislikes him. Ethan has a clear understanding of who he is and what he values, and his willingness to support Aria through her discovery of this is beautiful. It becomes more than a story about a cheating ex- it’s a journey of self love and discovering who Aria and Ethan are to as individuals and to each other.

The Enemy of My Enemy Is… My Fake Boyfriend? sets up the potential for a longer series following the relationship highs and lows of Aria’s two sisters, Annalise and Astrid. While Aria’s family dynamic is present in this book, there is plenty of room to grow in our knowledge of that world through these potential next books.

I received a free advance copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
