ARC Review: Cocky Mother Pucker by Sarah Smith

Publication Date: March 9, 2026

I loved Nick and Poppy’s journey to love in Cocky Mother Pucker! After meeting Nick in Desperate Pucker, I was so happy to see him again. Nick and Poppy are so very opposites attract at the onset of this story. I was a huge fan of seeing Poppy be such an intelligent, hardworking woman and how Nick never denied or diminished her intelligence.

Nick may be cocky on the surface, but there’s so much more to him that’s soft and loving and warm. His protective side towards Poppy was so telling of his true nature. Both Poppy and Nick have things to figure out beyond their romance, but I felt so warm in the fact they have each other as they go through those next stages.

It was wonderful to follow Nick’s journey to love, as well as to be reunited with Ryker and Madeline. I’m so glad that Sarah Smith decided to branch out into college hockey romance, and I’m really excited for the next book, Grumpy Mother Pucker!!

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.

With three stories overlapping and intertwining, the lives of Marigold, Natalie, and Olivia all flowed so nicely together. It was so clear to see their similarities and differences as they found their way to their respective happy endings. I love a…
