ARC Review: In Stormy Weather by Chelsea Curto

Publication Date: July 14, 2026

This book landed in my inbox at the perfect time: right before Texas was due for some stormy, snowy chaos. It felt very on theme to read for me as someone who lived through both the nightmare of snow in Texas in 2021 and hurricanes in Florida in 2024. And I am SO glad I picked it up. Quincy and Sebastian’s story was perfection- literal lightning in a bottle!

In Stormy Weather hit so many of my favorite tropes: he falls first (and so hard), the BANTER, rivals to lovers, best friend’s brother, and the ever-perfect “just one time”. Sparks were always flying with Quincy and Sebastian. They have such great chemistry and their shared intelligence and love for meteorology was amazing to see.

I absolutely adored the way that Chelsea Curto wrote about Quincy’s experience as a woman in a male-dominated industry. Quincy and Sebastian have a rivalry, yet he never fails to step up for her when she experiences sexism within the meteorology industry. It’s so important to see her story and her experiences about her intelligence and knowledge within the industry.

Thank you to Atria Books for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
