ARC Review: Hot Mother Pucker by Sarah Smith

Publication Date: July 13, 2026

Briar and Blake’s friends to lovers arc in Hot Mother Pucker was amazing! They have incredible chemistry from the jump and watching them explore it was so fun. There’s so much tenderness and love between them with their shared history, and I loved that their romantic relationship is developed on the back of a long history as friends.

Sarah Smith’s spice is like no other, and this book is no exception! I’m obsessed with the secret social account that Blake has and how he and Briar put it to use. It’s a new trope that I hadn’t seen used before, and I really enjoyed that part of Briar and Blake’s journey.

It’s been such a treat to see this entire hockey friend group fall in love in Sarah’s Hollis U series! The next book coming up is Lucky Mother Pucker, and I’m so excited to see Leo’s story. Each of these love stories is so unique and it would be so hard to pick a favorite, since they’re all so good!!

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
