ARC Review: Return to Sender by Stephanie Parente

Publication Date: July 28, 2026

Return to Sender had everything you could want in a book and then some. It combined such strong elements of real, raw grief with goofy laughter and delicious tension between Violet and Dex. Their dynamic grew with every moment together, and by the time they finally kissed I was SCREAMING. I really well and truly loved this book with my whole heart.

I loved the character of Phoebe, Violet’s younger sister, so much. Her emotions read so purely on the page, and it was like being reminded of being fourteen again, except magnified with the loss that Violet and Phoebe experienced. The dynamic between Dex and Phoebe was so tender as well. It was a healing journey for all three of them, together, and that’s truly so beautiful.

Return to Sender truly did an amazing job of blending the honest truth about grief with the hopefulness that comes with a new romance. Violet and Dex always give each other the space to approach topics as they’re ready, and it allows them to come together in such a patient, kind way. I adore them and their dynamic and I well and truly believe in their love story.

Thank you to Random House and Dial Press Trade Paperback for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Publication Date: July 21, 2026 Yes, Chef brought Poppy and Jack together in such a fun way!
