ARC Review: The Matchmaker’s Cottage by Kat Sloane

Publication Date: August 11, 2026

With the cozy cottage vibes and the forced proximity of the location, there’s no shortage of feels in The Matchmaker’s Cottage! The second chance story between Julia and Ethan was endearing and amusing in all the right places. The pull between them was undeniable, and I couldn’t stop turning to the next page for more.

This story does a beautiful job of balancing the heavier topics of life with the love story between Julia and Ethan. They are real and fallible people, and it makes them feel so relatable. I loved seeing the moments of their past intertwined with their present and how it showcased the depth of their history.

The Matchmaker’s Cottage was an easy book to curl up and enjoy. Julia and Ethan’s love story was beautiful and warm in all the right places. I so enjoyed this book and while it was my first book of Kat Sloane’s, it won’t be my last!

Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
