This is the type of story that emphasizes why I keep coming back for more second chance romances. Walter and Hildy’s lives are set on a path that intersects over and over again from their very first meeting in a laundry room at a high school camp. If these two journalists covering love stories didn’t fall in love, I may have rioted!
Thankfully, My Best French Wedding did a brilliant job of bringing these characters together along with their complex histories. Amanda Selllet wove in the past with the present beautifully. Hildy and Walter’s inability to engage without arguing serves this story so well, and it goes to show how difficult it is to truly admit your own wrongdoings in a conflict.
I love love stories so dearly, so My Best French Wedding was an absolute hit for me. The story centers around Hildy and Walter while also covering the wedding event itself between Fiona and Robbie. There was so much warmth and tenderness here amidst the banter between Hildy and Walter, which truly made for the perfect combination.
