Hit or Miss was a total hit with me! Mia and Ethan’s love story is entertaining, heartfelt, and brought all of the feels back from being in college and finding oneself. Listening to this book added a fun extra layer with all the British accents, and the dual POV in narration really made me connect more strongly with both characters.
Mia and Ethan both head to Hemden University wanting a fresh start only to find someone from their old college in the U.S. living right next door. Their journey involved learning about the true person next door rather than their preconceived notions from the past. The friendship and relationship that eventually develops is built on a new foundation of shared understanding and the creation of a safe place to land, and I love that so much.
Like Mia, I also went abroad and turned twenty while on the craziest adventure of my life. This book reminded me of what it felt like to be that age, which is the best part of reading New Adult romance. Mia and Ethan’s romance in Hit or Miss made me so nostalgic for that time but also so glad to be watching it from the other side.
Thank you to HarperAudio Adult for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
