The Fix-Up was the sweetest of books! Ellie and Gil are an unlikely match at first, but the forced proximity of them being in the same house for six months is both hilarious and heartwarming. I loved watching their dynamic grow tentatively into friendship and then eventually into more.
I so loved the character of Oliver, Ellie’s six year old son. He really reads like a six year old- asking all the wrong questions at the wrong times but also leaning on his mom at the right ones. The relationship that Gil develops with Oliver is so precious, and I especially loved their “man club”.
This book was an easy read and a tender one. It’s got all the cute small town vibes as well as a lovely found family dynamic in Ellie and her friends as well as Ellie’s relationship with Ollie, whose passing kicks off the whole story. I will definitely be looking to read more of Sharon M. Peterson’s books in the future!

ARC Review: Soon by You by Dahlia Adler

The chemistry between Judah and Ari was delightful, and I appreciated that their journey wasn’t perfect, but it was real. I fully believe in their connection,…
ARC Review: Enter the Villa by Anna Peele
Publication Date: May 19, 2026 As a longtime Love Island fan, Enter the Villa was fascinating. Hearing from production about the stereotypes of various characters on the show, how the show morphed over time, and how the show became the mega popular force it is today was incredibly interesting. It truly was a look behind…
