I know better than to pick up a book like No Place Like You right before bedtime. And yet here I am, after midnight, sitting in the perfect contentment of the beautiful love story between Fable and Theo. The combination of their lifelong friendship + Theo’s pining was EVERYTHING. I want to bottle up the feelings this book gave me and pull it back out on the hard days.
This story was tender and gentle in the best ways. Theo is the kind of book boyfriend we all die for! The family dynamics for both Fable and Theo flushed out the world in a beautiful way. There was just so much love and warmth in this story from start to finish and I want to live in that tenderness.
The tropes of this book were perfect, the micro-tropes were perfect, and literally everything else was perfect too. This book was an instant 5 star read for me and quickly jumped to one of my top reads of the year. Jillian Meadows absolutely crushed it, and I will be going back to read her other stories as soon as I can!
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
ARC Review: Stolen Hearts by A.B. Jackson
Publication Date: June 1, 2026 Alexander and Christopher’s relationship continues in full motion in Stolen Hearts! The thing about writing a review for book two of a trilogy is that I absolutely don’t want to spoil anything, but reading Stolen Moments and getting the backstory between these two was amazing. Stolen Hearts is such a…
ARC Review: You Won’t Forget Me by Mazey Eddings
Publication Date: June 8, 2026 MAZEY EDDINGS, WOW. This book is the slow burn trope at its absolute finest, and I am thoroughly wrecked. You Won’t Forget Me is peak pining and the dynamic between Cubby and Darcy is everything. The two bandmates falling in love story is always a good one, and this was…
ARC Review: Brighter than Before by Courtney Walsh
Publication Date: June 9, 2026 Brighter than Before was such a tender story about falling in love and finding oneself again. Claire and Miles are both older characters, and that maturity was beyond refreshing. I loved seeing Claire’s grown-up daughter, Minnie, interact with Claire and with Miles on a quest to find Claire a romantic…
