ARC Review: The Valencia Expat Club by June Patrick

Publication Date: June 2, 2026

The Valencia Expat Club is the feel good escapism story we all need! Dahlia is the kind of character you immediately root for and want happiness for. During her time in Spain, her love story is both about her rediscovering her own identity and falling in love with Liam, a combination that I absolutely loved.

It would be impossible to not also love the friendship between Dahlia and Maya. The connection that develops between the two of them is so meaningful and is so much more than just that of extended family relatives. Dahlia’s journey to Spain was about reconnecting with herself and her family, and Maya was such a lovely part of that.

The Valencia Expat Club truly is a story about how second chances exist well beyond a romantic arc- in family, in adventure, in travel, and beyond. The life that Dahlia creates for herself in Valencia is a beautiful one, and her love story with Liam also becomes one. It was a lovely story and the romance was absolutely the cherry on top!

Thank you to Atria Books for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
