ARC Review: Tropesick by Lauren Okie

Publication Date: June 16, 2026

This book hit me square in the feels. Tropesick did an incredible job of pairing the beats of the love story between Katie and Tyler alongside the romance book that they have been tasked to write. The flashbacks for their second-chance story came at the perfect times, the revelations surprising but not overkill, and the romantic arc was believable and beautiful at the same time.

As a writer: writers falling in love while working on a book just hits different! For Katie and Tyler, working on the book allowed them to reconnect and to renew the friendship that existed for a long time in their earlier years. Tropesick was as a story of patience and kindness towards each other, as well as a recognition of how grief shows up differently in each person.

This book talks about the incredibly difficult topic of addiction and losing a loved one to addiction. It’s not an easy topic to cover in a romance book, but it was always clear to me that Lauren Okie came into this story with care and compassion in writing that experience for Katie, Tyler, and their loved ones.

Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

ARC Review: The Great Outdoors by Kayla Olson

Publication Date: June 16, 2026 Like Sadie, I have a plan for everything and could absolutely be called high maintenance at times. Unlike Sadie, I’m not sure I’m ballsy enough to hop on a hiking trip to prove an ex wrong. The Great Outdoors was such a great read that took me down the hiking…

ARC Review: Stolen Hearts by A.B. Jackson

Publication Date: June 1, 2026 Alexander and Christopher’s relationship continues in full motion in Stolen Hearts! The thing about writing a review for book two of a trilogy is that I absolutely don’t want to spoil anything, but reading Stolen Moments and getting the backstory between these two was amazing. Stolen Hearts is such a…

ARC Review: You Won’t Forget Me by Mazey Eddings

Publication Date: June 8, 2026 MAZEY EDDINGS, WOW. This book is the slow burn trope at its absolute finest, and I am thoroughly wrecked. You Won’t Forget Me is peak pining and the dynamic between Cubby and Darcy is everything. The two bandmates falling in love story is always a good one, and this was…
