After meeting Duke and Cherry in Live, Ranch, Love earlier this year, I was dying to read their story. This book completely lived up to my own hype. Riding the Line was such a fun read full of the best parts of small town romance. And Rory and Wyatt were back, which made my heart so happy to reunite with this cast of characters.
This book has one of my favorite micro tropes out there: the bucket list. Watching Duke and Cherry check off her bucket list was EVERYTHING! Those quiet intimate moments coupled with adrenaline rushes made for such a beautiful growth of their relationship, and it was sooooo good to read.
Cherry’s struggles with epilepsy and endometriosis are pivotal to her life and her love story in this book. I appreciated the care with which Emma Lucy wrote about these experiences, and her openness about her own lived experience. Duke being so supportive is so meaningful and I loved seeing him refuse to shy away from those moments with Cherry.
