Not that Kind of Proposal was the perfect dynamic duo of a romantic comedy! Jude and Gracie were so fun to watch fall in love. The quest that Gracie puts Jude through was hilarious, and their shared connection to both Larkwood and Jude’s grandma Agatha was a great way to put them into forced proximity.
At first glance, Jude and Gracie are so different- with Jude being a divorce attorney and Gracie being a wedding planner. Throughout Not that Kind of Proposal, I loved seeing them discover how similar they actually are! They both have so many layers to unpack, and I appreciated that this book gave them the time and space to do so both together and apart.
Victoria Lavine did a beautiful job in Not that Kind of Proposal of creating the perfect setup and allowing Gracie and Jude to play the rest of the story out. The characters brought so much life to this story and it was so entertaining from start to finish. It’s an example of how love may find us in unexpected places, but it’s always worth it in the end.
