Emerie Hart perfectly described this book as a steamy and healing romance. From the very first page, Petra is vulnerable and real. As the book goes on, it’s beautiful to see her grow in her understanding of her grief and how she heals. Reed is on a healing journey of his own, and it’s beautiful to see them individually go through these journeys and how it ultimately brings them together.
As a former PNW girlie, I loved all the references to life there. I could just picture everywhere that Petra and Reed visit and the places and characters came right off the page. It was a beautiful depiction of how a setting shapes the characters along their journey.
I truly loved reading this book. It touched my heart and was so honest in its portrayal of difficult topics while simultaneously being a beautiful love story. Plus, those steamy scenes are in fact rather steamy in the best way!! When the book drops on August 20th, it is an absolute must read.
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
